Numerous health issues dealing with women have been tackled throughout a public info session on Thursday night time.
Hosted by Shepparton Women’s Health Centre, the knowledge night time was attended by greater than 120 individuals at Melbourne University’s Department of Rural Health.
Centre supervisor Josie Murdoch was overwhelmed by the response.
‘‘We never expected it to be a full house,’’ she stated.
‘‘The other thing I was really overwhelmed with was the people who donated for the goodie bags.’’
Ms Murdoch thanked Pental, Libinski Hairdressers, John Anderson Pharmacy, SPC Factory Sales, Little Lipari, Aesthetic Skincare, Massage Therapy for Women and Gay Giovanetti for his or her contribution to the occasion.
The occasion was bought out every week in advance, with friends wanting ahead to listening to lectures by Dr Lang Lang Yi, Dr Margreet Stegeman and Carole McGregor on bone health, endometriosis, cervical screening and happiness.
‘‘We did one last year, but we did it at the centre and it was invite-only and we only had 30 guests,’’ Ms Murdoch stated.
‘‘So we thought this year we would do something bigger.’’
Community Fund Goulburn Valley appearing chief government Andrea McNab was emcee on the occasion, with all proceeds from the night time going to the fund.
The Soroptimists International of Shepparton provided supper and have been elevating cash for brand spanking new equipment for Goulburn Valley Health.
The info night time was deliberate in conjunction with Women’s Health Week, which ran from Monday to yesterday.
Dr Stegeman, who established the Shepparton Women’s Health Centre in 2016, stated it was a incredible turnout and thanked everybody for attending.
