The Wagga Women’s Health Centre has gained a regional arts grant for an exhibition that may commemorate its 40th anniversary.
Manager of the Women’s Health Centre Gail Meyer stated the exhibition will recognise, celebrate, and protect the wealthy historical past of the Centre and the women who’ve formed it over 4 many years.
“The whole project was thought of as an important way to acknowledge that the Women’s Centre has existed in the community for nearly 40 years and has been an integral part of the community,” Ms Meyer stated.
“We are recording the tales of the women who’ve participated over the many years and placing it collectively in a format that might be obtainable to the general public.
“The women who participated will even be photographed to type a part of each a short lived and an ongoing exhibition.”
The exhibition, which is due to run from March to May subsequent yr, is a joint venture between the Women’s Health Centre, the Country Arts Support Program, and the Museum of the Riverina.
