Woman Goes From Homelessness to Graduating Harvard

If you’re ever feeling dismal about your personal circumstances, simply take a bit of little bit of inspiration from Norma Heath.

After dropping her job a number of years in the past, Norma turned depressed and entered a downward spiral that left her homeless and drug addicted with none stability to end faculty.

But then her prospects modified two years in the past when she discovered Rosie’s Place – a women’s shelter in Boston, Massachusetts.

There, Norma acquired counseling and remedy, however what motivated her probably the most was when the volunteers requested her to write down her objectives. Her record consisted of a handful of small issues – like repeatedly attending physician’s appointments and staying away from dangerous influences, and so on. – however on the prime of the record was her final dream: to graduate from Harvard University.

Then, earlier this week, the 51-year-old lady fulfilled that dream and graduated from the Ivy League faculty with a level in psychology.

“Like some days, you feel like giving up,” Norma advised WCVB. “[But] people around us are going to be our cheerleaders. If I can do it, then you can do it.”
