CARTERVILLE — The 31st annual Southern Illinois Women’s Health Conference returns in September.
It’s set for Saturday, Sept. 16 at John A. Logan College. The day begins with health screenings at 7 a.m. There are breakout periods all through the day and lunch with keynote speaker Marzia Prince. She’s the Healthinista and says health by no means goes out of favor.
“Everything I was doing I was doing wrong. I was eating the wrong foods, working out was okay, but as far as feeding my body the right foods. I ended up giving up smoking, giving up the drinking for a long time. Now I do it socially and not binge drinking and going crazy. I had to learn these behaviors and it took a very, very long time. Through this I created a system to help women with their lifestyle behaviors. A lot of times I hear women come to me and say ‘I want to lose weight.’ That’s always the first thing they say. At the end of the day, it’s really truly not about losing weight, it’s about undoing these unhealthy lifestyle behaviors and replacing them with healthy lifestyle behaviors,” stated Prince.
The value for the convention is $45. Registration may be finished right here online.
