Susan McCurdy: Speak up and support women’s right to health care | Opinion

Dear Editor: In regard to the editorial within the Capital Times relating to a motion within the state Legislature relating to women’s entry to health care, I’m writing in hopes of encouraging all considering residents of Wisconsin to not blandly settle for makes an attempt to scale back women’s health choices.

In these occasions of extra alternative to make our mark and to “be all we can be,” it appears proud women solely terrify “conservative” males. We threaten the very bedrock upon which they’ve constructed their world. Barefoot and pregnant is their rallying cry

Excuse me? Our marriage is a wedding of two robust individuals. The success of our small enterprise sits on the other bedrock from that of the quailing “cons.” We each give it our all: our concepts, muscle tissue and dedication. There is not any higher method.

To recommend we women are lesser people is a caveman cartoon imaginative and prescient of the world. But you’ll be able to guess that cave individuals labored collectively on a regular basis — or we-all wouldn’t be right here right now.

We do not want a women’s revolution, for I’m sick of wars and demonstrations.

I recommend each lady refuse to let these twisted males take possession of our rights to health care. They have twisted the difficulty of health care into solely abortions and that too we’d like to clear up.

In our church buildings, faculties, work and service organizations, we’d like to insist that we sit on the desk to talk about coverage and rally others to write letters to our state reps that we don’t support inequality, that we’ll not revert to the previous concepts of 1 gender being superior to the opposite.

There are extra of us than of them, you recognize, so let’s converse up.
