Charlotte Hungerford Hospital announces women’s health talk series

TORRINGTON — Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is presenting “Heart, Body and Soul,” a brand new free three-part series highlighting ideas and knowledge from native physicians and specialists on wholesome aware dwelling for women. Each night shall be an academic and interesting occasion of shows, dialogue, mild wholesome meals, door prizes and extra.

“This free series was designed to address important health issues facing women and to provide meaningful resources in an enjoyable setting. We hope women invite a friend or family member and attend all three sessions as each will be unique,” stated Jenna Haley MS, ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Coordinator Cardiac Rehab & Cardiodiagnostics at CHH, in a written assertion.

Series dates and subjects embrace:

Monday, March 12: “Heart Smart” introduced by Michael Fowler, MD.

Monday, March 26: “Healthy Body, Happy Heart” introduced by Jenna Haley, MS and Carla Angevine, RD.

Monday, April 9: “Why Worry? An introduction to Mindfulness Practices” introduced by Sheila Sorenson

All three talks within the series might be held on the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Road, Litchfield, from 6-7:30 p.m. Talks will probably be launched by Dr. Stephanie Fowler, member of the Hartford HealthCare Northwest Region Board of Directors. Support for the series was offered by the members of Torrington Country Club.
