* Essentia Health introduced the next:

Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic employed Lauren Carolan as a nurse practitioner within the neurosurgery division. Carolan earned her grasp’s diploma in nursing from the University of Rochester (N.Y.). She is licensed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Jon Anderson of Virginia, Road Machinery and Supplies; Brian Maki of Superior, Lakehead Constructors; Matt Thibodeau of Duluth, Thibodeau, Johnson and Feriancek; and board producer director Tim Kalisch, US Steel.


North Star Credit Union in Cook acquired the second place Desjardins Youth and Adult Financial Education Awards from the Credit Union National Association for its efforts to teach the group in monetary literacy. North Star’s Bunch of Students Saving program works to show college students at North Woods School in Cook about monetary subjects akin to cash administration and saving. North Star shall be honored throughout an awards March ceremony in Washington, D.C.


Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet earned the Certificate of Compliance after it handed an inspection by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid/Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments. The hospital is inspected each two years to guage its compliance with high quality requirements.

Goodwill Industries Vocational Enterprises of Duluth acquired three-year reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, an unbiased, nonprofit accreditor of health and human providers.
