Better alternatives for women’s health needs

In a current commentary within the Gazette, Taylor Medley, a scholar at William and Mary tried her greatest to persuade the general public that Congress is able to “strip millions of people of their basic health rights” as a result of they’ve proposed defunding the abortion big, Planned Parenthood, of taxpayer funding.

The Lozier Institute has recognized over 13,000 non-abortion offering, Federally Qualified Health Center service websites and Rural Health Clinics throughout the nation. These amenities present a far higher vary of health providers than the 635 Planned Parenthood facilities with out all the controversy surrounding abortions. The $500 million in taxpayer funding that Planned Parenthood presently receives can be a lot better spent supporting these amenities. Besides, as a scholar at William & Mary, Medley is required to have enough health insurance coverage protection, so I do not assume she is in any hazard of dropping her “basic health rights” anytime quickly.
